Hello!
I’m Justine Sherwood, a seasoned professional with over 22 years of translation, writing and editing experience. I was born in the UK and am a native English speaker. At the age of 19, I moved to the Netherlands, where I learned Dutch, my second language, which I speak at a native level. In 2003, after continually being asked to ‘just translate this’ at every company I worked for, I bit the bullet and started my own business. My background includes legal and medical qualifications, ensuring accurate and contextually appropriate translations in these critical fields. Whether it’s legal contracts, medical reports, or pharmaceutical documents, I’ve got you covered.
I qualified as a legal translator with an SIGV diploma (Dutch-English legal translation) in 2003, and from 2008 to 2010, I followed a PGDip course at City University in London in Spanish-English legal translation.

Changes
After 16 years of living in the Netherlands, I felt like moving to sunnier climes and left for Spain. I now specialize in translating Dutch and Spanish legal and medical texts.
I am a keen language learner and fluent in English, Dutch, German, Spanish, and Italian.
Work
Over the years, I have built up an extensive network of fellow translators, so do not hesitate to get in touch if you need help with other languages or specialities.
As well as translating, I am also an experienced writer. I am a qualified copywriter and have completed an EMWA (European Medical Writers Association) medical writing foundation certificate.
